I came up with a story about a large ship, a modern state of the art ship with touch screen and motion detector facilities everywhere , from water basins, toilets to vending machines and virtual stores - the ship has it all, 8 giant cinemea screens , 4 large swimming pools, a tennis court etc etc

A couple on honeymoon, a multi millionaire business tycoon, a well respected novelist, an up and coming female pop artist and an ex heavy weight boxing champion fallen from grace, for alleged ties to the mafia underworld and a retired EX FBI Agent - are all on this ship. All these ppl are in Section 2A of this colosus ship.

Little do they know, that there is also another individual aboard the ship. Along with this individual, are 30 hardcore fundamentalist followers - of the Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, which translates into English as ‘Islamic Struggle Movement’ - the mastermind and leader of the group, an estranged half american-half arabic ex banker turned fundamenlist has already placed 6 detonation devices abaord the ship, in various places.

He takes over the ship once his men execute the captain and his crew as well as some highly decorated UN delegates, and hijacks the ship.

Only a few ppl aboard the ship realise what has happened, and the ring leader ‘Abdul Hussain’ speaks live online transmitting to every major news channel and network in europe and the US, insisting the ship is ‘in their hands’ and he has ‘demands’.

As the occupants of section 2A of the ship are FIRST to hear the ‘gunshots’ and ’screams’ from the section above, Jason Briggs ex heavy weight champion of the world climbs the steps and opens the door to see 4 men wearing boiler suits and carrying AK-47’s.

Something obviously doesn’t add up - and they notice Jason ‘Sugar’ Briggs, and open fire - he slams the door , turns the door hatch shut and darts back down the others to inform them of the incident.

Abdullah hussain eventualy gets complete control of the ship but nto the occupants of section 2A , who have now become ‘renegades’ aboard the vessel.

And thast the idea of a story im going to write, i hope its gonna be fun…i’ll need to keep the balance between character development and plot right, dont wanna produce a master piece just a really good gripping story.

any extra ideas you think i could add , any twists or other elements to this story ?

waht do u make of it so far - has it got potential to become a serous page turner ?

I think this would make a good book, i would read it, it’s the sort of thing i read, i think that the the Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami, should be the crew so that no-one suspects anything, and you then you could have them pop up when people least expect it. Also have it so that its not just section 2A alive so they could try and find people to save then take the ship back over, perhaps have a crazy army guy, that snuck on weapons, that giving them the oppurtunity to fight back, hope this advice helps.
