Is GCSE business studies popular amongst girls?

Is it? If it isn’t , what should be done to get girls interested and engaged in Business Studies?

Thanks guys
Well, the reason for this question is that i’m applying to teach business studies at secondary level, and if the ratios are correct (i.e more boys than girls take it and are interested in it ),I will probably be asked why that is,and what would I do to help more girls become interested in the subject
Ok, so do you guys think there are any challenges when teaching a subject like business studies? If so, what are they?

At my school it seemed that it was more popular with boys.
But I really do think it depends on the school :)
If you are asking because you want to do it and are not sure if any other girls are, just ask your class mates if they are or not? simple :) good luck :)

Hmm when I was studying it, it was fairly mixed but i would say there were probably more guys studying it. If someones interested in something regardless of gender they should do it. Just like Food Tech and Textiles even tho dont recall many guys studying that :/

I go to an all girls school and in my year 60 people applied to do business studies including me so I would say it’s popular :)

My schools an all girl school and about 30 people are doing it at a-level which is a lot. (considering the average number of people for a-level subjects is about 20). About 60 did it for gcse too. So yeah, pretty popular.
